Home-visit Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment
Dr Wright offers a private Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment delivered at the patient's home address, across Central, West and North-West London. Same clinical assessment as the outpatient service; same enquiry pathway.

What the visit covers
The full Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in the patient's home
A full Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment in the patient's home: medical history, medication review, cognitive screening, mobility and falls assessment, and a brief review of how the home environment and current supports are working. Dr Wright produces a written report with a clear, agreed management plan; with the patient's consent the report can be shared with the GP or wider care team.
Who it is for
When a home visit is more practical than an outpatient clinic appointment
Older adults with frailty, memory concerns, falls, complex medical conditions, or multiple medications — particularly where a home assessment is more practical or clinically appropriate than travelling to an outpatient clinic. Suitable as either a first assessment or a follow-up to a clinic appointment.
What to expect
From enquiry to written report
An initial enquiry through the public form. Dr Wright's team reviews the enquiry, may gather further information from the patient, family, referrer, GP or insurer, and contacts the patient or family to arrange a convenient visit time. The assessment typically takes 60–90 minutes; a written report follows within a few working days.
Fees
Self-pay and insurance
Self-pay fees are published on the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) profile. Insurance recognised — see /fees.html for details.
Not for emergencies
The safety boundary
Not for emergencies, urgent care, out-of-hours requests, palliative care, or ongoing routine care. For emergency help call 999; for urgent but non-emergency advice contact your GP or NHS 111.
Enquiries
How to ask about a home visit
To enquire about a home visit, use the public enquiry form. Dr Wright's team reviews enquiries and will contact you within a few working days.
Limitations
What a one-off home visit can and can't deliver
A home visit is a one-off Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and a few things sit outside what it can deliver on the day. Dr Wright can make prescription recommendations to your GP after the visit. If you need Dr Wright to prescribe directly, this must be arranged through a hospital appointment — either in person or by telemedicine. Follow-up appointments are also organised through the hospital pathway. Blood tests, where clinically appropriate, can be arranged at home.

From enquiry to a clear plan
Submit an enquiry
Send a brief enquiry with your contact details, whether you'd prefer a home visit or hospital appointment (with your home address or preferred hospital), and who is referring: GP, consultant, self or insurer. No clinical details are collected on the public form. Submitting the form does not book an appointment.
Information gathering
Dr Wright's team will seek consent from the patient, whoever holds a Lasting Power of Attorney or from the next of kin where there's no LPA. They may also contact the patient, referring clinician, or patient's GP to gather background medical information.
Clinical review and suitability
Dr Wright reviews whether the outpatient service is suitable and, where relevant, will try to coordinate any tests or investigations around the appointment so that as much as possible can be addressed in one visit.
Make a Booking
If you have requested a home visit, Dr Wright's team will respond directly to agree a convenient time, confirm who will be present (it helps to have someone who knows the patient well in the room), and share parking details.
Hospital booking enquiries are passed to the relevant hospital outpatient booking team. They will contact you about appointment arrangements.
On the day
On the day, the clinic and hospital teams will coordinate the appointment around the patient's needs where possible. Any necessary tests or investigations will be arranged where clinically appropriate and feasible. If hospital transport may be needed, please let the team know in advance so this can be discussed with the hospital.
After the appointment
Dr Wright provides a written report and a clear management plan. Further tests, follow-up and recommendations are discussed and agreed with the patient. With the patient's consent, the report can be shared with the GP or wider care team.

Boundaries
What this service does not cover
This is not an emergency service. Dr Wright does not offer urgent, palliative or ongoing care, and submitting an enquiry does not book an appointment — her team reviews each request and contacts you to discuss next steps. For emergencies call 999; for urgent advice contact your GP or NHS 111.
